Hello, my name is Jen, and I'm addicted to...

Yes, that's right folks, today I realized that I have a shopping addiction. It is not, however, of a general variety. It is very specific. It speaks to my bargain-mindedness and high-fashion tastes. The "it" I'm talking about is Target's Go International collections.

I didn't set out to collect a piece from each designer featured, it just happened. Isn't that always the way? My eyes followed the direction of my tastes, which always led to the little corner of the somewhat juniors-themed women's apparel section of Target. These collections always hang effortlessly. They need not vie for attention from the others. Women notice them first, and if I get there too late, slim pickings for me.

Patrick Robinson was my first. From him I purchased about four or five items. Next was the few hippie pieces by Jovovich-Hawk. A couple of months passed and no word. I thought I was safe.

Then, last night I saw a commercial for Rogan Gregory's line. Damn. All day today I tried talking myself out of going. But then my friend Ralph needed paper towels. That's all the excuse I needed! Others clearly had the hankering as well---the racks were almost empty. I tried on pants, no good. Loved a really long loungey sweater vest in the wrong size. Then I found a so-soft-I-must-have-owned-this-for-years New York tee by Rogan Gregory. Satisfaction. And, as his pieces are environmentally-conscious, my usual post-shopping guilt does not apply.

I can't help but wonder who is next...
